How the environment is under a full blown attack and nobody cares about it. The widespread corruption! As soon as I was exposed to school and television, there was a bombardment of "Being More" on and around me. What I was , wasn't enough. In fact I was insufficient in terms of every aspect of my life. Right from the way I looked, to how I thought. My family was less than perfect, my parents weren't celebrities, my school wasn't branded, nor were my clothes , the list was so long I didn't Janaki Sincro Mulayhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08532147772320673440noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5171153018847540520.post-2882702130311040042020-10-15T10:34:00.000+05:302020-10-15T10:34:48.598+05:30The struggle to write continues! 10 years ago when I started blogging, I did not know what writing meant to me. That was good. It helped me to explore writing and explore a part of me with every post I dared to publish.I had a wonderful time blogging about anything that floated in my mind. Stories, thoughts, jokes. There were no expectations from others or from myself. But after about 3 years of blogging and over 15 Janaki Sincro Mulayhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08532147772320673440noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5171153018847540520.post-51731793776226337992017-08-01T17:31:00.001+05:302017-08-01T17:36:04.636+05:30The art of simply being "Nothing" !
Do you know there is an app called "Nothing"? The reviews were mostly all 5 stars and what people wrote about this simple yet exotic application fired curiosity in me and I became one amongst the thousands who downloaded this app to find out , what is this "Nothing?"
Guess what? This app does exactly what it claims!
It does nothing!

Part B: The Vacation

January-February 2017 :
I am sure there are people out
there who love to travel solo, but travelling solo is not my first choice. I am
a gregarious person. Obviously there was something I wanted to prove- I
wanted to prove that I need nobody to do what I want to do! (I hear a bunch of
feminists cheering 'Yo Nari Shakti!')

Introduction:
Everything makes sense only when you see it as a whole, and not in its fragmented parts! The word is "Holistic"! Therefore there are three parts to my vacation story:
A. The Before
B. The Vacation
and
C. The After
A few points :
1. I am writing after a 2 year gap! We live in an age where we are bombarded with information and knowledge.
We get to know of our friend's feelings towards a particular issue even before she or he herself /himself has thought well about it.
We have loads of new books coming into the market, loads of new films in theaters and so few actually make any good sense!
Most of them definitely make good money!

The last time I enjoyed "thinking" so much was at Vipassana course.
Actually that course is meant for you to calm your mind , arthaat "not
think" and get into that zone where you think nothing. And if you can
achieve that for even a second, it feels beautiful. Well I did

A word before you read this post:
The complaints are going to be on a rise from here, because that was how things had started shaping up. Yes we had fun and all that, but the truth remains that this is an extremely difficult course, mentally and physically. And the older you are, and the less prepared you go here, the more issues you will face...like it happened in my case!

Apart from these wonderful girls I had as my roomies, there was another thing that helped me crack level 1!
My Rope- Rope 2!
In HMI, people are put in groups (Ropes! Why they call it a rope is because in mountaineering , a rope is a lifeline). They make sure you and your friends don't end up in the same rope. So myself Vignesh and Sharvani belonged to separate ropes and the Konkani clan was Janaki Sincro Mulayhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08532147772320673440noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5171153018847540520.post-44383210427835070542014-05-22T23:24:00.002+05:302014-05-22T23:24:45.387+05:30The story of the mysteriously rising blood pressure!
I was nervous about HMI from the day I applied for it.
My heartbeat started acting funny from the moment I read the board "Himalayan Mountaineering Institute"
Vignesh said, "This is it!"
Sharvani said, "The moment of truth"!
After we registered our names, we were allotted our room. Room No. 8 on 2nd floor. We were given a spoon, a cup and a thick (mattress looking) blanket. Dear Ladakh,
Every time I come to you,
you take something away from me!
You took away my fears!
Every time I fall in love with you,
You give me something to hold on to,
You gave me the courage to dream again!
Every time I sought to connect my soul with you,
You opened me up to a part of me I never knew existed!

Once upon a time there lived a man who was extremely ambitious!
His friends, relatives, brothers ....all belonged to that same old era where they wanted to sit back and enjoy their lives doing absolutely nothing!
They seemed to be happy with whatever they had or did not have!
He hated their lifestyle!
No goals, no aims, no direction to life!
What a waste of time and resources he thought!

( Part 4)
Let's talk of the injuries , shall we?
Even before we started riding, the first to get injured was me! How? You may wonder!
The first night when we got the bikes , we went to the hirer's agency to collect the helmets. We were handed our helmets, and just then I saw this really cute, fluffy cat on the pavement, running, confused. And that was the first cat I spotted in Leh, and I love cats, Janaki Sincro Mulayhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08532147772320673440noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5171153018847540520.post-26812180928750183292012-08-11T09:15:00.001+05:302012-08-11T09:15:36.964+05:30How I got LEH'd!
