Yesterday i put the post and a lot more names popped in my mind. Madhur Bhandarkar deserves to be mentioned in the Director's list coz he has a different style of film making. in all of his films he uses a common man who's always commenting on the ongoing's of the subject of the movie ( just like R K Laxman's cartoons on TOI)

abt dev D: sure its made differently, bt d kind of hype it received is a bit too much i feel. i think if u watch d film in a theatre it can have a different effect on u, i watched it at home- my head was aching by d end of it!
romantic musicals is a gud category. i havent watched d 1st 2 though!
ABC doesent get aired in India so we download the torrents of the television series to watch them.I think they still air Desperate Houewives on Star World but its season 4/5 and you have to watch these sit-coms from the beginning-season 1 if you want to know whats happening.
ReplyDeleteI agree Dev D wasnt worth the hype but I liked the way the traditional Devdas story was re-made to suit the modern times. It was a much better adaptation than Sanjay Leela Bhansali's!
